Poimena has been crying out for a regular event that helps brings local players together. It could be that the wait is over!
In May, a bunch of local players gathered one Sunday morning for the inaugural Poimena Monthly League Day. It was a friendly competition played over one round of 18 and used a handicap scoring system. The handicap scoring format allows players of all levels of ability to compete against each other equally.
The first League Day was a big hit, and there was support from all who attended to keep it going and spread the word to get more people along.
So, the invitation is out to all local players. If you’re keen to meet up with other players and enjoy a good social round of golf, with some friendly competition, please come along to a League Day.
